How to Get Certified
The ABHP grants professional certification in the field of Health Physics.
The ABHP Certification Process is accredited by the Council of Engineering and Scientific Specialty Boards.
2026 Exam
Applications for the 2026 ABHP exam are now closed.
The application deadline was January 16, 2026, and we are no longer accepting application materials. Applications for the 2027 exams will be available by November 2026 and posted to this page
Part I Exam Dates: June 5 to June 13, 2026
Part II Exam Date: July 6, 2026

Professional ReportBecoming a CHP also qualifies an individual for membership in the American Academy of Health Physics.
