All candidates are allowed to withdraw from taking the Part I and/or Part II exam without penalty at any time up to June 15, 2020. The candidates will automatically be approved for their respective exam(s) in 2021.
For candidates whose last year of 7-year eligibility occurs in 2020, all will be granted a one-year extension and the required exam must be completed in 2021.
Part I will be given at your chosen Pearson VUE testing facility from June 19 to 27, 2020.
Part II will be held on July 06, 2020, starting at 12:30 PM local time.
For deferred candidates of Parts I and II, the corresponding exam fee will be applied to 2021.
There will be no exam given at the National Harbor, MD, due to the cancellation of HPS annual meeting. There is an exam site located at NIST in Gaithersburg MD. It has a Metro station one block from the main NIST entrance (100 Bureau Drive). An exam site in Baltimore will also be available.
If the location you have signed up for is not available for testing on July 06, you have the option of going to another exam site or automatically being deferred to 2021 without penalty.
Social distancing and other measures will be implemented in accordance with local (State and/or City) requirements. It is the candidate’s responsibility to know the requirements at their chosen exam site.
